Digital

Richard Horsman (Bilton) I have spent the last 20 years writing my own computer code to assist with the creation of unique digital pieces – adding detail to relatively simple starting points; building structure where none existed or deconstructing and rebuilding. I like to take what is traditionally a flat image – a portrait, a sketch, a video game character maybe – and work with it to produce something that retains much of the original, but adds depth and abstraction. Commissions welcomed. www.richardahorsman.com/ http://www.facebook.com/RichardAHorsman http://www.instagram.com/richardahorsman 22-6-R

Emma Town Fine Art (Brinklow) Working from her cottage in Brinklow, Emma’s contemporary oil paintings share the beauty of the wild using soft ethereal paint strokes which create movement around her subjects. The use of definition and realism in areas of the work serves to draw the viewer in, to become part of this world for a while. She is mainly inspired to paint wild animals, wishing to elevate their status to all. May accept commissions. Destruction Arts Darren is the artist, technically assisted by Andy. Things that inspire me in the real world are urban decay, architectural structures, street art and how nature begins to reclaim its space in the absence of human activity. My recent illustrative work is very colourful in its approach. First impressions of my work might be that it is sentimental, simple and obvious but often, when you look for it, there is a wry twist on the face value of the subject matter and I hope my sense of humour comes through in the various cheerful passages of each piece. Gem’s Creative Place (Long Lawford) Gem’s Creative Place started as a platform for me to share my renewed love of drawing on Instagram. The process of drawing is important to me, the mindful exercise, and the daily escape. I loved that nature and wildlife became a real focus again during lockdown and the fact I live in a rural village really altered my own experiences of lockdown. Drawing flowers in the garden, animals I would see on walks, or just birds I had seen became really exciting to me. I sell drawings, watercolours and cards. Commissions welcome. Inspirations From a Folly Garden (Hillmorton) My original ink drawings are my own interpretation of Flora and Fauna, enhanced with colour, beads and feathers. All mounted and framed. Instagram 22-12-R

Jennie Fletcher (Willey Village) I paint using a mix of oil and cold wax medium. My paintings are semi-abstract and is inspired the landscape, referring to its geological history, and how the land has been understood, and affected, by both time, weather and human presence. I link past with present – what was and what is. Building up layers of paint is important in my work: I scrape back and excavate the history I have laid down before developing the composition, which will change several times until I am happy with the final result. It is a lengthy process! I also make hand made beads, again using many layers of colours, and thread them into necklaces that have a sense of ‘age’ and of being found in ancient tombs and burial places. I think of them as ‘wearable art’. My studio is open for visits. Please contact in advance. Commissions accepted. Steve Davies (Rugby) I have drawn and made things my entire life. However art has always been limited by the necessity to earn a living. But now I have retired into printmaking. The process of printmaking is a three Act play. First designing the image, then cutting the block, finally producing the print. The gods of Chance and Intent each intervene as the story develops, and nothing is resolved until the final scene. This is why I love print. Like theatre, each print, each performance is different yet the same. The tension between the gods is always present. May take commissions. Website: Steve Davies 1st 21-3-R
