Rugby Artists and Makers took part in the Rugby Literary Festival, 2025. Seven of our artists and makers created covers for seven books by authors past, present and future and these were installed around the town. At the end of the festival they continued to be on display under the garden veranda at Art at The Alex.
Our thanks to Rugby First for funding the books, to Art at the Alex for giving us space to work, and to the venues hosting the books.
The artists involved were: HONXY, a young aspiring artist and writer; Clare Pentlow, paper artist; Jenny Ball, maker of jewellery and small sculpture; Huyen Phan, mixed media artist, Jennie Fifield, artist in paper sculpture and textiles; Jessica Hartshorn, illustrator and writer; Lucy Denton, artist in photography and community art.
More of our artists were involved as individuals in various events through the festival.
